| At the beginning of October 2009, I took a short vacation to Rome, Italy with my eldest daughter Samee (Samantha). |
| We stayed at the Hotel Zara (pictured right) situated in Via delle Quattro Fontane close to the railway station. Most of the city’s
famous sites were within easy walking distance so we ventured out most mornings on foot.... |
| The photos on the following pages show most of the sights visited including Castel Sant’ Angelo, Pantheon, Foro Romano, Colesseo,
Fontana di Trevi, Spanish Steps, Vatican City and Museum. |
| To ease the burden on our feet we took a tour bus on one occasion which gave us
some interesting views otherwise not seen from street level ! |
| We also ventured outside the city and visited the old Roman port site at Ostia Antica (pages 5 and 6). |
